This week’s pull is from The Akashic Tarot by Sharon Anne Klingler and Sandra Anne Taylor. If you’re unfamiliar with them, the Akashic Records are fields of energy that contain all knowledge past and present. It’s a complex but fascinating idea. I recommend The Akashic Records Made Easy by Sandra Anne Taylor to explore it further.

#1 – 3 of Roses: Nature spirits are all around you, and they’re here to help you increase your joy and creativity! Remember how things were when you were a child, and you weren’t bound by all the troubles of the world? It’s time to think back on those times and embrace them in the now. Sing a little, dance, or just lay out in the grass and enjoy the world around you.

#2 – Archangel Raphael: Someone is trying to help you on your path right now. Open yourself to the forces of love, family, and healing that this person brings you. Accept the help, and you’ll find miracles on your doorstep.

#3 – The Queen of Forces: Is this not the most gorgeous card?? The Queen of Forces manages to balance the strongest elements with ease. She knows how to both give and to receive, and her experience helps her keep everything in check. If you’re seeking balance in your life, the Queen is here to tell you that you’re more than capable. She could also represent an outside person, someone with a connection that will advance your work or someone who gives you unlimited support in your creative endeavors.

#1 – Ten of Summer: Family is very important to you right now, and it’s time to let them know! It doesn’t matter if this is your genetic family or a chosen family. They’re a big part of your life and your emotional security, and this is a good time to really revel in it and know that you are surrounded by love. This card could also represent a healthy marriage or raising healthy, well-balanced children.

#2 – The Wheel: Things are moving forward! You might’ve been feeling stagnant, but you don’t have to feel that way any longer. If you’ve been waiting to move into a new home, buy a new car, or get a new job, know that all the things you’ve been waiting for are coming to you. Life is all about forward momentum right now.

#3 – Ace of Autumn: Calico cats are considered good luck, and some of that may be headed your way. It might be a helping hand you weren’t expecting, a windfall, or someone who offers a connection or a bit of advice that may help you out. Watch for this abundance to simply fall in your lap, and take advantage of it!

Which card did you pick? What did it mean for you? I’d love to know, so feel free to leave a comment.

Tarot Tuesday! Pick Your Card from The Sacred Traveler Oracle

We’ve made it through Monday, and now it’s time for Tarot Tuesday! What does the rest of the week hold for you?

This week’s pull is from The Sacred Traveler Oracle by Denise Linn. The bold, otherworldly images on these cards really called out to me, and there’s just so much energy in these cards.

If you’re interested in a reading of your own, please see the bottom of this post or visit me on eBay.

Study the photo below and see which card calls to you (1, 2, or 3). You may want to know what the week holds for you in general, or you may have a specific question in mind. Regardless of what you want to know, let your spirit guide you on your card. You’ll find the cards and their meanings below.

#1 – Uncovering Treasure: Things are always what they seem, and sometimes you need to learn to look at them in a different way in order to understand just how wonderful they are. You may need to fight some ‘dragons’ to truly get down to the wonderful parts of your soul that are waiting to be uncovered, but it only gets easier the more you do it! Abundance is coming in your life, if you only know how to look for it!

#2 – Infinite Abundance: Here we have yet another card about abundance, so the universe must really be telling us something! You’re heading into an abundant time in your life, and you’re about to receive the money, love, or energy that you’ve been waiting for. Just remember that you deserve this! It’s also a good idea to give of yourself and help others in achieving their goals. The more you give, the more you receive!

#3 – Surrendering to the Journey: We often find ourselves wanting to control all the little things in life, but there are times when we need to give up that micromanagement of our path and trust the universe to take us in the right direction. You’re not giving up; you’re learning to go with the flow. You’ll never see all the wonders of the world if you stay in one place, and it’s okay if you don’t totally understand exactly where the path is leading you.

Which card did you pick? Did it mean anything for you? I’d love to know, so feel free to leave me a comment!

Signed Book: Soun Tetoken by Ken Thomasma

I’m working through my shelves and getting rid of the books that don’t mean much to me. That makes me appreciate the part of my collection that I’m keeping so much more!

Soun Tetoken is a book that found me instead of the other way around.

Way back in grade school, when I was a kid at Running Creek Elementary in Elizabeth, Colorado, the author Ken Thomasma came to speak to us. I don’t remember all of what he said, but I do know I was absolutely fascinated by having a real author in our school. He knew how to take the story in his head and actually get it into a book, and I was on the moon.

Mr. Thomasma asked us each to write a short story. The winners would receive a print of one of the illustrations from his book, Naya Nuki. To my sheer delight, my story was selected!

So as not to take up time at the assembly, we were told that we could come see Mr. Thomasma after school and he would sign the print. I was absolutely terrified that I’d miss the bus, and so I went straight home instead. It’s a decision I’ve often regretted.

Fast forward a few decades to the closeout of our local used book store here in Illinois. The owners were retiring, and they’d finally reached the point of giving everything away for free. Of course, I went! I brought my girls into the kids’ room and happened to spot Soun Tetoken. I was immediately thrown back to that sad memory of never getting my print signed, but I was rewarded when I opened the front cover and found this.

I might not have made the right decision way back in second grade or so, but Ken’s signature came to me anyway. I don’t even have the print anymore, but this book fits very nicely on my shelf with my other signed books.

Do you have any signed books? I have more I’ll be sharing in the coming months, but I’d love to hear about yours!
