That’s what I get for trying to stay hydrated! These story notes just washed away when I knocked my glass of water over. (At least the mug of hot tea was more stable!)

Fortunately, along with some other notes that were safely on my story board, I was able to cobble it back together. Only water bottles allowed on my desk from now on!

Man. Wow. I’d be heartbroken.
I definitely wasn’t happy with myself! Everything else was easy enough to dry off, but there was nothing I could do about my notes!
At least it wasn’t coffee! But yeah, that’s the risk of using water-based ink pens, including gel pens.
Still, glad you managed to recover what you wrote!
There are water resistant inks available, but I always thought I didn’t need them since my work rarely leaves my office! 🙄
Oh no… glad you were able to put it back together after hyperventilating, I’m sure. I’ve just been thinking of buying a fountain pen, I know the feel of them are nice. Maybe I should reconsider?
Honestly, don’t let my mistake stop you! There are water resistant and waterproof inks available, if that’s a concern for you. I didn’t think it was for me until today lol! I absolutely love my fountain pens, and I get so much pleasure out of writing with them.
I agree, if we have special pens it increases our creativity! 🙂
Very much so! I always turn to my fountain pens when I’m struggling with a piece!
Dear Ashley,
we know this problem as well. It happened several times on our writing desk but, fortunately, we noticed that it’s never not that disastrous as it looked at first after it dried.
Enjoy the weekend
