Tarot Tuesday!

Let’s see what the week has in store for us! This single-card spread is from Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine’s Animal Tarot set. These cards are full of gorgeous and fun animals, and I have such a good time working with it!

This card is not only about making detailed plans for future endeavors, but also acting on them immediately when you do! The coins falling suggest the success that will come to you when you follow this advice.

You can see we’re looking at a male seahorse here, which isn’t just for making a pretty card. Male seahorses are the ones who gestate and give birth, so the Prince of Autumn also suggests a person who is dedicated and trustworthy.

For me personally, I find this card especially interesting because I was just discussing future plans for a book series I have in the works. I’ve already dedicated an entire new notebook to it, where I’ve been organizing my ideas. I’d say the universe is telling me to go for it! 😀 There’s also the fact that we just finished up Father’s Day!

What does the Prince of Autumn mean to you?

  1. Thanks for a fun post. My wife and I are both very interested in the Tarot. Cathy (She has a name, too) collects Tarot decks, which is great as it provides me with a wide variety of gift giving options, as well as offering a chance to support our local magic (k?) shop.
We do co-operative readings for both of us from the same spread. Each of our interpretations provides insight to those of the other. It can be a bit time consuming but sometimes it takes some stirring before the pudding sets, if you take my meaning.
OK, now that you know the story of my life, the Prince of Autumn. I am quite an inspired thinker and very long on ambition, but I’m impatient. If I make a plan at all, it’s generally loosely constructed and almost never thought through to the end. The message of this card speaks directly to this.
As if my planning non-skills were not enough of a problem, my legendary powers of procrastination complete the picture. The Pink Floyd lyric “Half a page of scribbled lines” could have been written about me.
I think the Prince reminds me that I’m going to be fifty nine in less than a month. I can do at least some of the things I want to do, but I’ve got to do it right and I’ve got to do it now.
    Nice horsey.

    • That’s wonderful that the two of you are able to spend that time together! My husband isn’t really into it, but he does occasionally ask me to read for him.
I’m definitely a planner, so the Prince of Autumn is a great one for me!
